The Sandi Klein Creative Woman Award

Purpose

The Teaneck International Film Festival proudly establishes the Sandi Klein Creative Woman Award to honor an exceptional woman working in film whose creative achievements, commitment to storytelling, and dedication to social impact reflect the values championed by Sandi Klein throughout her distinguished career in journalism, broadcasting, and arts advocacy.

As a founding organizer, chief moderator, interviewer, and ambassador for the Teaneck International Film Festival, Sandi Klein helped shape the festival's identity from its earliest days. Through her acclaimed series Conversations with Creative Women, she amplified the voices of hundreds of women whose creativity, courage, and vision enriched culture and inspired change. The award seeks to continue that legacy by recognizing women whose work demonstrates the power of storytelling to illuminate, challenge, and transform.
