We feature foods in their purest state, free of artificial flavors, colors, sweeteners, and preservatives as well as hydrogenated fats. When Whole Foods Market first opened its doors in 1980, we set out on a simple mission: to provide a more natural alternative to the conventional grocery options available at that time. At Whole Foods Market, we are highly selective about what we sell, dedicated to strict quality standards, and committed to supporting environmentally friendly agricultural and production methods. Since 1993, Whole Foods Market has given back at least five percent of our after-tax profits to the community.
